Why aren't there more 'classic' paid URL shorteners?

This is a serious questions I've got. Why aren't there more shorteners with low ads, high counter per day and low CPM? For example like adfly, but more trustworthy and with real rates. In the past, there was this type (shorte.st, met.bz) but nowadays the admin is gone, metbz owner don't reply to emails or FB for over a year, and his blog has last post at end of April. And shortest scammed people and haven't posted an announcement since August.
